Timing…

There are many books written about spiritual warfare, and the books I have read outline the aggressive and real attacks of the enemy in our lives. I have read( and have written) about the subject in depth over the years.

Recently, I was praying about the attack on my family and had a profound word from God concerning the real attacks on our lives as defined by spiritual warfare. I was surprised, but convinced, that this word from God was very true. The Lord placed in my heart that true warfare in life is time.

I know that may sound strange, but time is one of the biggest battle we face and it is the height of spiritual warfare in our lives.

God uses time for our lives to outline his destiny for all mankind. Space is time. Music is time. Living life is time. Dying is time. The battle we face with the enemy is time being slowed down and time speeding up. The warfare we face is timing. We lose and win daily. When you look in the bible at the battles in the  Old Testament,  all the great battle that were  fought were fought with timing in minds. From Moses we see the battles  timed by 400 years and then he was called  for that task of the great Exodus. Moses was  appointed to speak to the  Pharaoh about letting God’s people go. During his 8th t visit to the king he even told him I knew he was not going to listen but would ask one more time for the release of the people. It was timing. When the 10th event took place… it was time. Moses knew that before that had happen because he was on a time table with God. When they reached the Red sea it was  timed just right for the Pharaoh's men to cross after they had crossed. The men lost their lives. It was a battle tragedy based upon timing

The walls of Jericho fell of  God's perfect timing. The release of Jonah from the darkness of the earth and the fish was timing. The birth, life, death, and resurrection of Christ was God's perfect timing.

 

But push forward into your life. Timing has given you the victory and losses in your life. When our children our born we pray for their day of birth to be healthy. It is the enemy roles to push back time or to speed it up. Disease is caused by timing. The body can lose the battle by not having enough to fight or the disease spread quickly due to timing, which can cause the body to fail. The mind slows down in time and memory lose due to age  sets in.

The timing of being at the wrong place at the wrong time is warfare. The timing of doing something too soon can cause warfare. The timing of relationship can mean waiting too long for marriage or getting married too quick  or not at all.  Life is a constant battle of spiritual warfare through timing.

Jesus was timed when we all needed it to transform the history of mankind to get from BC to AD. It is amazing that in the timing of the world when Jesus showed up, his appearance in  time gave  advancement of moving  all mankind in knowledge forward. Just the presence of him in this earth and  God’s knowledge touch the earth. From that encounter the earth had with God through Jesus Christ we have the invention, gifting, and revelations this day forward. His timing was fought with battles;Herod tried to kill him to stop his time on earth. Jesus was resurrected at the perfect  time, and through him we have the victory over timing. We Have eternal life! Time is spiritual warfare.

We have the Holy Spirit to guide us to all truth. The Holy Spirit guides us  on being  in the place we need to be for the times in our life. He instructs us on how to get through the delay of time and the speeding of time through prayer and power.  Time is warfare… but we have the victory to overcome it in each battles.

 

As God has shown the height of warfare is time I have seen life in different view. Even the casting out of demons and the binding of strongholds is a timing issue. Nothings before it time or too late. People have been devasted by  time. Demons that should have been dealt with end up  wrecking people’s lives. Prayers for healing that was delayed have caused pain and hurt.

Church waiting too long to help people… have caused much tragedy in the last 100 years as the church has moved to MEGA Mode. There is not enough resources in Mega church that are personal to help battle or explain the warfare.  Time is spiritual warfare.

The next battle you face; pray for God's guidance on the timing in your life to get the victory. Our family will face many more battles… because time is still ticking. Pray with power and revelation that God instructs you of his timing to get the victory. There are battles I have faced that I have to press through and wait till the end. But because time is warfare… everything has an end date in time.

Time also has a start date in your life for new things after each battle. This is a season of shifting in the body of Christ where some people are coming out of battle they have had for many many years. And some people are just coming into battles they did not expect. Everything will end and new things will begin. Pray to our Father in heaven over all time to lead you. Time is in hand and he is faithful getting you through. Pray and seek God’s face to  give you victory over the warfare in your life with time. He is a right on time God!

Call and Preparation…Which Season?

“And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah.When they told David, “It was the men of Jabesh-Gilead who buried Saul,” ⁵ David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh-Gilead and said to them, “May you be blessed by the Lord, because you showed this loyalty to Saul your lord and buried him. ⁶ Now may the Lord show steadfast love and faithfulness to you. And I will do good to you because you have done this thing. ⁷ Now therefore let your hands be strong, and be valiant, for Saul your lord is dead, and the house of Judah has anointed me king over them.” 2 Samuel 2: 4-7

King David went  through a lot before be became King. The last few battles he had  before he  was made King gave the appearance that he was already King. It the spirit of things  he was called to be Pre-King when he was about 14- 17 years old.. However he was not anointed King till he  was 30. After Saul death he was made King. He was being prepared for  Kingship for all those years.

 Sometimes your preparation can look like your call.

The  trials and struggles we go through have a end  date and a purpose. The key to victory is in your prayer life with God  through Christ Jesus is knowing the season you are in. For many of us coming out of major trials in this season it is important to land in the right place in your call. Your preparation has been the thing you have faces to get you to this season. David lost everything in Samuel 29. He had to get it all back. God even told him to pursue the enemy to get his wives and kids back. He did. After the losses there is a season of restoration.

There is time to get back what has been stolen and even more! God is faithful in restoring us his way. It is not about  prosperity or claiming thing things. The word of faith moment has exploited the truth about a God that does provide. The word of God  has to brought into balance.  He gives us what we need and more in the season we go through. David is a God’s example of pressing through in your preparation and getting the victory for  the call to come forth. So how doe that apply to you?

You may have been working for a company for many years wondering” why you have not excelled”. You may loose your job…and then be forced to find the things God has for you. You may even start your own company. He is doing a work in you. He has prepared you for this season to walk out your call. So what is a call? It is just in church? A better word is your gifts and talent being used in the world or body of Christ. God has given us all gifting to glorify him. It is hard to watch people who are called or do  thing do something  else they are not called to . For many, the fear of walking out that call is  over whelming. It not  about being religious or super spiritual.  It is through the trials we faces that even  our fears are driven out. So what when  are through being prepared we can do what God has called us with conviction and courage.  Preparation can take years and look like you are in your call. But inside sometimes you can feel that incomplete revelations of what you are doing. It can feel like a burden that something is missing. When you are  reach the time for your call the conviction you feel to pursue it is strong. It does not have to recognized by  pastor ect. It need to be confirmed by God in your spirit! You will know. It is natural line of order thing God ahs place din the earth. It is not Hooky Spooky! It is divine and natural. It is am urge to pursue! Obstacle are removed or Direction how  how to get through them become clear! A path is set and You need to walk it out! God has walked it out before. Jesus has made a way for you to receive it!

 

In this season as your trials and are ending… begin to seek God face and ask him what your calling/purpose is. I If you are not in his will… he is loving and will show you. If you need provision for it… he will provide. If you have enemy stolen from… he will restore! Separate your preparation season from your call.  if this is your season to land in your call… you will know.  Understand that preparation is that.. training and prepping for what is to come. You may not be ready now if this is not your time… but you are being  prepped for something great.

^“6 So Achish called David and said to him, “As surely as the Lord lives, you have been reliable, and I would be pleased to have you serve with me in the army. From the day you came to me until today, I have found no fault in you, but the rulers don’t approve of you. ⁷ Now turn back and go in peace; do nothing to displease the Philistine rulers.”” 1 Samuel 29: 6-7

If this is your last battle before you enter into the full purpose for your life them  get wisdom. Sit with God , his word. Holy Spirit and Jesus so you can learn everything you need to learn from what you just went through. It will be a Rhema word to your life! Let God correct, direct, love, instruct, and encourage you to follow his will. He will give you the boldness and words to carry out your call/ purpose.  He has already done a work in you… now it is important that you understand the work that has just been done so you can walk out his will.

⁷ Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelek, “Bring me the ephod.” Abiathar brought it to him, ⁸ and David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I pursue this raiding party? Will I overtake them?” “Pursue them,” he answered. “You will certainly overtake them and succeed in the rescue.”

That means spending time with him and hearing from God. You are stronger ! You are bolder! You are more focus! You have conviction! You are called! You are restored! You have the victory to  pursue the call  now on your life. Shift from being prepared and walk out the courage to accept the call and  trust  God has set before you. Whether in the market place or in the body of church… You are ready! This is your season to be used by God. You trials have become the path to your destiny! You have new battles…. But they will be in the call of your life you have have been prepared for. The victory from these battles are also yours!

Randy to The Rescue

 

There are a whole boat load of wedding shows. From Bridezilla to Perfect Wedding. The drama  and the  bitter  women  on Bridezilla is so toxic. I often wonder why the men still marry these women? It the midst of all these bridal show there  is new show that is classy and bring sentiment to the hunt for a wedding gown; Randy To The Rescue.  Randy Fenoli is teamed up with Lindsay Yamashita  and Raychel Wade . When someone is passionate about what they believe in it comes  through in their actions. Randy love for weddings and people comes across so clear. On the show Randy has a huge Truck that  is a full blown wedding boutique.

 

 

The  interior look like a upscale designer boutique. As he travel from town to town he words with women who are looking for the perfect dress. It is very touching on ever level to see women who  are struggling with the process of finding the right dress get help from someone that truly  has call to recue women! As far as wedding show goes… it a refreshing look at the most important time in women life! TLC created  winner!

How I Got Over – Short novel

Robert Johnson at the Cross Roads

A few weeks ago I rented the 1986 movie “Crossroads”  to watch with my daughter. The movie is based off of the legend of Robert Johnson the great blues musician.  I have been working on a novel for about a  year about  the crossroads and tent revivals  in Mississippi where Robert Johnson had  sold his soul.

Much of the research I have come across confirms that he did make a pact with the devil . Many musicians have followed after him  doing the same thing. They have had tragic short-lived lives. Mysterious isn’t it?

The legend has it that around 1930, Robert Johnson left the small town of Robersonville and came back a few months later able to play very well.  In African folklore the crossroads are a place of evil and decision. In many of his songs he makes reference to his experience at the crossroads in Mississippi, where he sold his soul.  The mystery behind  his ability to play and his  short-lived life  has been a landmark in blues and rock and roll music legends . Johnson’s greatest influence was Son House.

I have been researching many aspects of  this legend over the past year. The coincidences of events with others that have followed him are worth noting.  Many of the guitar greats who have recorded  his songs or attempted to follow suit in making a deal for their souls have been met with trouble, hardship, and death.

Robert Johnson died on August 16, 1938. He may have been poisoned by a jealous husband. He had a reputation as a womanizer picking up lonely women. He loved and used many women. There are  many different accounts about how he died.  He died at the age of 27. There are two different graves that mark his burial. His life and death were full of much controversies. Some musicians  who have used  his lyrics have been met with tragedy and death. Eric Clapton’s son fell out of a window. Duane Allman of the Allman Brothers  who loved using Johnson’s lyrics, died in a accident. One of his band members also died in a similar way.  It is said that using the lyrics or making the pact has caused tragic deaths for musicians who follow after him.

In writing my book I have stayed away from using any reference to him or the lyrics. I don’t believe in taking things too far . The actual location of the crossroads has been a mystery also. There are  different accounts of the location. Many have traveled trying to find out. Some have found it at a great cost. The blues has birthed many great musicians, however Robert Johnson's legacy is a rare one, filled with evil, mystery, darkness , and destruction.

The blues itself sprang out of  the need to express the  anguish of life being Black on the delta. Some how that struggle was turned into the selling of the soul to make it as a musician. Johnson's life and music expressed the blues and evil of decision. He is a mystery and a legend yet still to be defined. I would suggest if you play guitar… don’t take a trip to the crossroads.

Selah And Aphaireo

Selah - A biblical term used 71 times by itself in the Psalms. It invites the reader to pause and to meditate or reflect on the message. One example is Psalms 3:2: "Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah."

Aphaireo - The Greek word for take away is Aphaireo and it means to have something taken away by force.

It is was  2012. The year I guess the Aztecs warned us about. Either they were right about 2012 or just ran out of space on the rock to write. Every year I try to get a strong sense of what God is doing in the body of Christ. I knew coming into 2011, that it would be a year of losses and great hardship. It was. My dad passed away 2011 January. I am still healing. I don’t think you ever get over the loss of a parent. I had two really awesome parents who are gone on to heaven. It was a hard year of relocating to Maryland from Colorado. I still miss the mountains every day. I had to let go of friendships that were not God’s best. I have had so many women in my life over the last 40 years who never really “ get” me. So I always look out of place in their eyes in life. I am an artist, what can I say!

But this year is looking spiritually really strange. I have a few words in my spirit of things to come, but I will keep them hidden for now. I can can share boldly that this is a year of Selah and Aphaireo!

 

 

 

 

Selah is word that has many different meanings. It is mentioned in the psalms over 70 times. In the psalms it is used as a musical term to describe a pause or reflection on what was said or happened. Selah. It has great meaning similar to the word “amen” also. It can mean to agree, or to reflect with agreement on what was said or done. But before I share what it means for  me get to Aphaireo!

This year has already started off with things being forcefully taken away. So far, I have seen bad marriages, jobs, decisions, relationships. and behavior snatched away. It is almost to the point that I would encourage any one reading this blog to make wise decisions, and quickly, before things are snatched away in your life. Why is God allowing things to be snatched so quickly? It has a lot to do with what is going on in the world. It is time to get in place and get your affairs in order. I am not concerned with the prophecy of the Aztecs about the world ending. No one knows that day or time. Some say we can know the season. That may be true. I am saying that God is really not playing around with folks who have been dragging their feet on getting right with him, doing his will, walking in your gifting, getting in or out of bad relationships, healing your heart, coming to terms with disappointments in life and moving forward, and really letting go of baggage that hinders his will for your life. It is time to move your life forward!

 

 

So many wasted days have been spent by us all in the last few years in survivor mode. Survivor mode is reacting to all the hardships in life but never taking full control. It is the process of just putting out fires every day instead of lighting the fire in your life for Christ! Survivor mode is deadly. It will sustain you but you can only go so far. Many times when people have been shipwrecked or survived a tragic accident they hold on to the end. As soon as help comes they fall apart and lose all strength because they know it is okay to give up now. They put their lives in the hands of who ever rescues them to get them to safety. They are done and have done all they could to stay alive until help has came. The word salvation mean to be recused. It is in the final hour of your trouble now that you can let go. You have been rescued. God has rescued you! Stand on that! This year let go and let God!

I read a passage in a Watchman Nee’s book about a man who was drowning. A great swimmer let him almost drown before he recused him. Watchman asked him why did he wait until the last moment to recuse him? He said because the man was in fear and would have pulled him down with him. He had to wait until the drowning man had come to the end of himself and would not fight him, then he rescued him from drowning. Many of us have pulled those who came to help us down with us. It is time to come to the end of our selves and be recused by God!

Things will be snatched away this year like never before. It will be a year of quickly seeing things gone with or without your consent. However it is the things God will take out of your hands that will bless you. Sometimes your hands have to be emptied out before they can be filled. this is a year of being emptied out quickly. Look for the new thing that God will do in your life. Don't look for familiar things, but new things! This year will be a year of seeing major celebrities just gone quickly from sight. It will be a year of seeing cities just wiped away. It will be year of seeing families torn apart quickly. Why is that? Because it will be a year of honesty. Telling the truth and being honest are two different things. You can tell the truth and say I have car. It would more honest to say “but the car does not run”. This year honesty is on the table. So any thing held together by lies will break. Every thing will be shaken. The joy is not in the losses but in the restoration and new things. There will be new cities, new jobs, new families, new businesses, new spiritual growth, new visions, new revelations……after the old has been Aphaireo from your life! The blessings will come because God is in the business of blessing his people. many of the things that will be taken away are hindrances to his will for your life. They are like Linus’ blanket on Charlie Brown. You’ve had the blanket for so long that you have out grown it. The people around you won’t tell you how immature you look with it because it has become a part of you they just live with. This year blankets will be snatched. Expect great things. Keep your eyes on the restoration of God. Even personal prophetic words God spoke into your life many years ago will come to pass this year. Keep praying and watch!

This is where Selah comes in to view. It is a pause and reflection on what is being done. Your attitude toward the things that will happen will be a Selah this year. You will reflect on it and move to the next note. It will be God’s supernatural peace that will comfort you. It will be hard because he will give us time to pause and reflect. True praise will come out of the hearts of those who truly understand the hand of God moving in their lives. So many times praise is worked up by the church director who pushes to get people to lift their voice to God. You will shout praises this year from a pure heart. You will stand still in awe of his grace as the new things come into view. This will be a year of many Selah moments. Even as we watch the things around us turn so bad there will be a Selah in our heart. The days of doubting God are over. That’s what 2011 was all about. It was a year of losses mixed with survival. It was year of seeing God’s grace and love in the midst of the storm. I am assured more than ever now that he is God all by him self! Selah.

 

This year will be a year of joy being restored. Selah. it will be year of getting rid of thing with a deep natural godly expectation for better. Selah. It will be year of healing in the body, love in the heart, and true holiness that comes from walking with God. I asked my self over 30 years ago what kind of Christian I wanted to be: one who walked behind God wondering what was happening, one who walked ahead of God too far from his plan, or one who walks with God who fellowships with his will. This year for us all that choice will be made to walk with God. Selah.

Finally many people talk about a great revival. I have studied the revival moves of God for over 20 years. This year is like all the others, the revival is in the hearts of man,whether corporately or individually. It s a revival of the Holy Sprint truly guiding us and directing our lives back to Jesus, back to God. Selah. I’m not worried about what’s coming on earth, but instead hold fast to the simple reality in the heart that Jesus Christ is there for all your needs. You have passed the test. You have survived the temptations. You have withstood in hard times the storms in life. Now walk! The revival is the restoration of the simplicity of his love for you and his will in your life. You have been broken and put back together. Selah. So now stand. You have been shipwrecked but are on dry land, so now eat! Selah. This year 2012 will be a Selah and Aphaireo. But more than that, it will be another year that he has blessed you! God bless! more to share in the weeks to come!

Pushing a Rock

Parable – There was a woman who was called by God to push a rock. God told her to push the rock until he came back. She positioned her body and began to push as hard as she could. She pushed the rock every day. She had a small framed body and pushing the rock was very hard. Days went by. Weeks went by. She wondered when God would return, and when she would be finished. She tried hard to push the rock to get it to move. The rock would not move. Months passed by and she still could not get the rock to move. She pushed as hard as she could for many months. The rock would not move. She became very frustrated with the whole process. She sat down to rest. God came back and asked her how she was doing. She was very mad. She wanted to please God by moving the rock. She was overwhelmed with failure. The Lord said with love in his voice, “My daughter, I never asked you to move the rock. I asked you to push it. Only to push it. You have not failed me.” She said to the Lord, “But why have I wasted all this time pushing a rock that will not move?” The Lord said, “When you started you were a small framed, frail woman. Through pushing this rock, you have become strong. Look at your self” She looked down and realized that she had gained body weight from muscles. She was strong and able to move anything. She began to weep with joy. The Lord said, “Now I can use you for what I really had planned for your life. You are ready and strong now for the things to come!” The Lord took her hand and took her to the destiny for her life. When she saw the new land, new challenges, and new rocks, she was at peace. She knew how to move them. They needed to be moved, not just pushed. She was ready to fulfill his will in her life. She moved mountains.

Ask God while you are waiting to show you the season of life you are in: preparation or call? Some men you have met, good and bad have been part of the making of who you are. God knows what he is doing. He knows how to get us strong in him.

Giants? 3 AM Why Am I Up?

Giants in the Land

Many accounts of UFO abductions occur at 3 am. The time 3:33 am has been recorded in many testimonies by many abductees as being the time when they were abducted. They have the sensation of being paralyzed and then taken. A common theme among abductees is that a number of the aliens seem to have real problems in reproducing their races. There are two demons that are sexual demons that torment people at night: Incubus and Succubus. This lines up with the characteristics of demons who are not able to reproduce, but only to torment. The experience of being abducted is real. But by what?

 

 

Whenever you are experiencing something that produces fear and anxiety it is probably not of God but Satanic. This is not to discount by any means what is happening but to put it into context regarding the level of forces that exist in the universe. I believe there are creatures that we do not know about but that they may have crossed over into our time. They have aligned themselves with demonic entities and forces in the earth to create panic, fear and destruction. The Bible says the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. There is no life or blessing that comes out of being abducted. There are things that exist that only God knows the origin of and why. Each situation has to be weighted with truth as we know it spiritually.

Some follow the teaching that the ancient aliens are fallen angels that were the sons of God that were with women in the earth and created a master race. The Bible says the sons of God married the daughters of men and created a wicked race. There were giants/renowned men of old that walked the earth.

God’s heart was so grieved by the wickedness he saw from this that he destroyed the earth with a flood. The Bible says that man after the fall of Adam, was mortal and his spirit would not strive with God for long; because of men’s wickedness God shortened the days of men to 120 years. Genesis 6:3.

All things are created by God. The origin of the sons of God has been speculated for years and no clear evidence has been found as to who they are or were. However their bones have been discovered. The lowest element of anything in earth is ashes. The earth was destroyed by water and not fire. Therefore, when scientists and explorers dig deep, the fossils and bones of giants can be found. God always has a way for proving his Word even through science and archaeology.

There are several definitions for giants in the word of God. The reference to the giants that were in Genesis 6 is referring to fallen angels as translated by the word in the Hebrew text. The giant Goliath that fought David and also the resided in the land of Canaan are of a different tribe.

Goliath who fought David was a descendant of Anak from the region of Canaan. The Nephilim are the only giants refereed to as descending from Fallen Angels. This would also explain any technology or UFO accounts there are recorded regarding ancient alien artifacts. The fact that these angels are not human would generally mean that they would have access to universal or supernatural intelligence beyond human capacity. This does not validate them as being human, but does mean that they have access to spirituality, technology and information beyond the natural human mind.

 

When Jesus was born even his foot on earth caused time to go from BC to AD. Jesus’ birth alone caused God to push our revelation of technology, and invention from his walking on the earth. And even following his resurrection mankind’s technological advances have became rapid. God’s knowledge and power is so beyond our comprehension.

The sons of God who were the fallen angels, if they even had a small taste of God’s presence and knowledge, have more knowledge than the natural human mind does. Satan has increased the evil in the earth from his being the prince of the air, which he has influenced with advanced developments in the propagation of greed, perverted sexuality, and immorality.

The breeding of the sons of God with the daughters of men caused a giant race. The other biblical theory is that Satan was trying to mess-up the seed of Abraham since he was unsuccessful with Adam, by creating corrupt offspring of humans and fallen angels. He was trying to get the Promised Land Canaan before Abraham’s seed could possess it as God promised. This bloodline of giants was stopped by the Great Flood. God used Noah to save those on earth before Satan could destroy the seed of the pure son of God, Jesus.

 

What Type Of Tree Are You?

Parable – There was a man  who was a lumberjack who stood in the water and guided the trees to the right mill. A person  walking by asked him, “How do you know which way to send the trees? He said, “There are two types of trees. Trees from the valley and trees from the mountaintop. The trees from the valley are a good wood for chairs, tables and light furniture. It is good wood, but not very strong. I push those trees to the mill on the left. The other trees are the trees from the mountaintop. Those trees are very strong. It is some of the bestwood you can find. It is sturdy and durable. It costs more to cut furniture from them. They have weathered many storms so are very strong. Those trees I push to the mill to the right. In hearing, the parable the woman asked herself, “Am I a tree from the valley or a tree from the mountaintop?” The person walked away pondering this and how it related to their life. They heard God speak to their heart. The Lord said, “The tree does not choose its place or destiny. As your God, I have made you a tree from the mountaintop that has weathered many storms. I have brought you through.” The person began to trust the process God was taking them through in their life. They  knew that they  would be strong for others just as the mountaintop tree was sturdy furniture for good, valuable use. When your mate does come, he or she  is getting a person  who has been through many storms and can pray him through. Marriage is not for heaven but for earth to build God’s kingdom. You are the tree that he is building his kingdom with: strong, durable, and valuable.

Let God restore your faith again. It takes faith in God. The things you have been through may have shaken your faith.

Believe in Jesus to move in your life. Whether it is in a relationship, with a sickness, family, or emotional scars; He can heal all! We shall live by faith in a savior who is faithful to meet our needs. You have nothing to lose in believing in him. You have much to gain. The Holy Spirit in you is programmed for faith.

“This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD: ² “Go down to the potter’s house, and there I will give you my message.” ³ So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel. ⁴ But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him. “ Jeremiah 18:1-4

As an artist I have worked in every medium over the years. I started working with clay in college. I attended school at the University of Southern Colorado. It has been renamed to  Colorado State University - Pueblo.  As an art major I was required to take several courses in sculpture and pottery. I took to the clay very fast. I spent most of my childhood working with modeling clay and Play Dough. I was up for the new challenge.

The process of working with clay contains so many spiritual revelations that apply to our process  in life as  Christians.

1. Preparing the clay for use

1.Preparing the Clay For Use

Red clay is my favorite clay to sculpt with. It is easy to mold. My professor kept a big bin of red clay in the studio. The lid was kept on it at all times to keep the clay fresh. He occasionally poured water into it until it was time to use it. The clay was taken from the bin and prepared for use. It was important to knead the clay to make sure all the air was out of it so it would not crack when it was fired. 

This is so symbolic of God keeping most of us in a still place until he is ready to use us for his purpose. We are kept wet with the water of his Spirit. We are taken out of consecration  by God when he is ready to use us. We are kneaded, sometimes pulled, and stretched to see what we can become. The air/pride is removed from us so we can be used  to love  his children. God makes sure when we go through the fires of life  we will not burst and break. We  are prepared to withstand  what is to come.

2. Modeling the clay into form

After the clay has been kneaded you begin forming the piece. The clay has to be worked into form. The molding process is done by adding  extra clay and blending it into the full form. If the piece stands up you have to secure the base and make sure the weight will hold when it begins to gain height. You have to keep your hands wet to make sure the clay does not start drying out. It is wise it keep water near by.

When God is molding us he forms us into the image  of who he wants us to be. He is adding to us at all times in our lives. He provides us with all that we need to be formed into vessels. God secures our base and foundation in our salvation with Jesus. As we grow in him his Holy Spirit brings back to us the things we need to know to mature in Christ. God's hands are wet sometimes with our tears. God's hands are wet with the water of the Holy Spirit to keep us flexible and growing in him. He keeps his anointing near by.

3. Preserving it for more modeling

Normally it takes me several days to a week to finish a sculpture piece. In order to preserve the clay from drying out you have to make sure it is properly insulated at the end of the day. Take a wet paper towel and cover the whole piece. Layer the paper clay with as many wet paper towels  so that  you keep the clay moist. You take a plastic bag covering the whole piece. It is necessary to make sure there are no hidden holes in the bag where air can get in.  Make sure the bag is securely tighten and closed around the piece where no air can get in. It is very critical that the piece is airtight  and the towels stay  very wet.

It is so symbolic that we are kept saturated with God’s word. The paper towels are symbolic of the word of God. The water on the towels   represent the  Holy Spirit  helping us to understand the word in the process of life. The word and the spirit together preserves us.  The plastic on the piece keeps the  wet towels from dying out. Even in the  process of being molded by God we are kept from things that can interfere with the call and anointing of God in our lives to be who he has called us. Sometimes  friends are removed from your life. Sometime people are kept out of the inside circle of your life so you don’t get distracted or fight battles  that are not your. There are times I feel this way. It  is not that I think I am “special” ,but creating paintings, art, music, writing books, animation, designs, and films, require a certain level of focus and isolation. I am in a productive period of my life at the age of 48. I  have things I need to say in a new voice.  I understand now that it was to help me stay focus, preserved, and flexible for God's molding.I am a work in progress.

4. Carving out  the details and finishing the design

The stage of molding the clay creates the design of the piece. It  has already began taking form. At this point  the details  help define the piece. The layering of design , clay, and carving into the clay give it a distinction. The clay becomes a finish piece of work  as you labor on the details.

God carves into us at this stage his perfect will, who we are ,and our destiny is made clear in the process of detailing in our lives. The jobs, family, ministry, and gifting become our destiny.  We are  the Master’s fine workmanship. God invested time in  each season of our lives begins to take shape.  Our purpose  in the earth become clear as we are molding by his hands on our life.

5.Drying it out

The clay is left to the open air to dry. It is expose to the atmosphere. It is test as this stage. If anything goes wrong it is broken up into very small piece and put back into the large clay bin with water to become basic clay again. The piece has  to be recreated starting from scratch all over again. Any flaws in the piece are permanent. If there is any air hidden the piece it will crack. The process  will start all over gain. If the piece dries in the manner it should it is preserve at this stage as a work of art. It still has  to be put in the fire to become a finished piece. It is the last test of the clay to endure the fires.

There are times in our life  as we are in the final stages of fulfilling our purpose and becoming who God want us to be. We are exposed  for all the world to see. We are no longer  just being molded by God, but preserve for great destiny.  We are shelved at times waiting for the right time for world, churches, family, and organization to utilized the best that we are becoming. We are still fragile,but on the way to completion. We re vulnerable,but becoming strong and solid every day. We are in the final stages of becoming the Master’s work of art.

6. Putting the clay in the fire.

To make sure the clay  is permanent it has to be fired in  a kiln. There are many different way that clay can be fired. The outcome is  still the same  in all the firing processes. The goal is to ensure the piece is it in a solid from by firing it. It may be fired  many times if needed .  The the clays is purified and perfected by the fire.It a long process. The clay becomes a  solid stable work of art in the final firing. Glazes came by added during re-firing process.

In our lives there are  times we  go through the fires of life to be purified. The fires in our lives test our ability to withstand  the things we go through. We are taught to preserves. All impurity, sins, and infractions are burned from our lives. We will survive the fire of life and come out strong. It  make us  who we are as we pass through the fires. Our character is formed by the process. Who we are is a new revelation  even to us when we come out of the fire. The fire of the Holy Spirit also bring us forth a new  in Christ. We are glazed with his glory.

7. Finished work.

The clay is now a finished piece ready  for display or use. It has endure the process to becoming the Master’s  work of art.

We  are work of art before God’s eyes. All the trial and tribulation we go through in life form us in to the individuals God has called us to. From being molded to being put through the fire of life. We are his finished workmanship.  Our ability to preserve and endure the process  of life  make us  who we are. We should celebrate the master touch on our live. His love  for us takes us through the fires that  cause us to be his children. Celebrate  who you have become by the Master’s  touch on your life !
